Trainer Perpetual Trophy |
|
 |
 |
| |
The
Nathan Trainor Perpetual Trophy is the Highest Award
available to a Dazzler.
This Trophy has been named after the person who despises
us more than any of our long list of HATERS.
The Irony of the Award is that Nathan Trainor is actually
the worst sportsperson that we are aware of, who has
no known skills at any sport, least of all Cricket?
To be eligible for this prestigious award a Dazzler
must excel in all areas of participation at a Carnival.
The winning Dazzler must make a significant contribution
with bat and ball as well as lead the way in any antics
that go on of field.
This person must be the standout in everyone’s
mind when thinking about the weekends events.
This Award is voted on by the entire Team and the winner
is announced in the Closing presentations.

Nick Henslite Commitment Award |

 |
 |
| |
The
Nick Henslite Commitment Award is an honour that is
aimed to recognise the Dazzler who shows the most commitment
in the field over the course of a Carnival.
This award is not necessarily about individual brilliance
or to recognise the best fielder. The recipient should
be the Dazzler who has aggressively attacked the ball
at every opportunity.
While it is not a requirement, Blood spilled for the
“Badge” will certainly weigh heavily toward
the decision.
This Award Represents the absolute Diehard spirit of
its namesake, who led by example during the foundation
years of the Clubs history.
This Award is decided by the Club Officers; however
nominations can be made by any Dazzler. |

The
Best on Ground Medals are presented to the Dazzler who
is deemed to be the best performer during a particular
game by his peers.
This award is voted on after each game and a video playback
of votes is displayed each evening to the Team.
Team spirit, leadership and on field enthusiasm are
considered as important as physical contributions.

The
“Club Man” Award is intended to recognise
a Dazzler who stands out in the area of off field contribution
during an entire Season.
Due to the significant amount of people who contribute
to the team’s overall functionality this Award
may not always be presented.
The intention of the Award is to recognise a person
who has vision and has influenced the overall team direction
and future viability, rather than to highlight one of
the many people who complete significant workloads behind
the scenes for the Club. |

The
Dazzlers are very competitive, below are some of our award
winners...

Nathan
Trainer Perpetual Trophy
 |
 |
Adam
Phillips
- Ashes 07 NTPT Winner
Adam
Phillips took out the inaugural Nathan Trainor Perpetual
Trophy in Glorious style.
“Gumby”
took the Carnival by the scruff of the neck and wrung
every ounce of life from it!!!.
First
Ball 6’s in the first 2 games and a very solid
contribution with the bat for the overall carnival set
the scene.
His
“Gutter Incident” is likely to go down in
Dazzler folklore as one of our funniest happenings of
all time.

 |
 |
Jason
Miller
- Ashes 08 NTPT Winner
Jason
Miller was a stand out in 2008 to take over from Gumby
as the holder of our most prestigious Award.
On
the field Jason was ‘undefeated’ with the
bat, bowled very solidly and DAZZLED the crowds with
his laser sighted run outs.
Off
the field he transformed into one half of the ‘Terror
Twins’ and went out hard.
Any
one who witnessed him staring death in the eye(s) on
the dance floor is probably still getting therapy???
RESPECT!

Ryan
Martin
07 Clubman Award Winner
Ryan
Martin took out the inaugural Clubman of the Year Award
in January 2007.
Ryan
changed the face of the Club and set a direction for
the future that will establish a platform for the future
financial success of the Club. The
implementation of the original website (www.dazzlers.tv),
establishing the newsletter and taking the first steps
towards launching the Dazzlers into the realms of public
access television were just some of the initiatives
instigated by “Rhino”.
These
initiatives not only revolutionised our Club’s
operations, but set the benchmark for amateur organisations
in the broader Cricket community.

Anthony
Buttigieg
aka Big Dog
- Ashes 08 N.H.C.A Winner
2008
was the first year of this honour and Anthony ‘Big
Dog’ Buttigeig set out to capture this award from
the very first ball of the Ashes Carnival.
Big
Dog Fearlessly attacked the Ball for the entire 3 days
in kamikaze style. Blood was spilled and not even a
torn rotator cuff in his shoulder could stop him.
It
should be noted that this bravado is also backed up
with some serious skills.
After
an insightful bowling change by the Vice Captain on
Day 1, ‘Big Dog’ took a crucial wicket to
break the spirits of the opposition and set the Dazzlers
on course for yet another crushing Victory.
